Reservations and Drop-ins are welcome!
If possible, you should always try to make a reservation, especially if traveling in the high season (June 1 to October 15). When you arrive, try to arrive as early as possible, as this will allow you able to choose the bed you want and check out the facilities.

Guston and Fletcha (the resident dogs) say...
Friendly well mannered socialized dogs are always welcome. You must show current shot and rabies records at check in. NO EXCEPTIONS. You are expected to keep your dog on a leash when in public places and pick up all feces and dispose of it in the designated receptacle. We have two 6x6 kennels and a fenced exercise yard to play in. Just a note, Gus likes to dive nose first into coffee cups so just be warned, he's a real coffee hound!

What documents do I need to stay?
You will need some kind of identification. This is for your safety and our records in case something happens. You should have a passport, drivers license or another kind of national identification photo card. We will keep copies for our files.

Private rooms and Dormitory
CKN HAUS ART HOSTEL offers four (4) private rooms, two (2) family/group rooms as well as a dormitory of eight bunk-beds. Rooms are on a first come first serve bases if they are not being held by credit card reservation. There are separate commercial style Men's and Woman's restroom/shower downstairs. They are built with solid stall doors for modesty.

Dormitory Pricing = $17 per person (4 persons per cubicle)

Semi private Room = $22 per person

Small rooms - 1 lower double & upper single bunk which sleeps 3
or 2 single bunks which sleeps 4

Large family/group room - 4 bunks with two lower double bed, sleeps 10

We have one handicap accessible sleeping room on the main floor level

Bed sheets and towels
At CKN HAUS ART HOSTEL the current fee to get one set of bed sheets and a towel is $8

Lockers
Secure storage for large equipment is behind the check in area upstairs and private lock ups are in the rooms. You must supply your own lock and key or combination locks are available for a $3 refundable fee.

Internet access
FREE WIFI for guests. Ask for the pass code if you plan on using it.

Food and beverage
CKN HAUS ART HOSTEL is equipped with a full kitchen upstairs and a microwave in the commons room where you can prepare your own food and snacks. We offer discount coupons for our guests at local participating restaurants when they are available. In keeping with custom guests are expected to clean up after themselves when they use any of the facilities. Garbage containers are located in convenient easy to find areas.

Atmosphere
Every hostel has it’s own personality, which is one of the things that makes it such a great experience to go hostel ling. CKN HAUS ART HOSTEL is created around the arts experience. There is a patio garden area for sunning or cooking a barbeque outside that is surrounded by native landscaping and flowering apple trees.

The upper level is filled with the front desk, kitchen, a small stage with seating for fifty where visiting artists are encouraged to share talents, a sitting gallery where local and visiting artists have exhibitions. The performance space is rented for recitals and to acting troops so there is always something going on.

Down in the lower level where the hostel sleeping rooms are we also have a commons area where you can relax, watch local television, play games, read, exchange stories and get travel tips. You most likely will make a lot of new friends here in our hostel!

Curfews and lockout
CKN HAUS ART HOSTEL has a 1:00 am curfew unless some special activity is going on. Guests can ring in after hours at the front door. We currently do not have a daily lock out time.

Laundry facilities
CKN HAUS ART HOSTEL has their own laundry. There may be a queue, you can use it as it is available.

Telephone access
Sorry, No pay phone access at this time. You can use our public computer located in the commons room downstairs to e-mail and Skype Family and friends. Please be courteous and keep your calls short.

Book swapping
Like reading while you travel? CKN HAUS ART HOSTEL has a bookcase where you can leave your book and grab a new one!

Bike Rental
The local Ski Hut down the street has a large supply of mountain and street bicycles. You can find them three blocks North on Grand Ave.

CKN HAUS ART HOSTEL is all about common sense and respect. Please don’t do anything that would cause you to be ejected and permanently banned from the property.
